Carl BozzutoDuring his college years, Carl R. Bozzuto met a combustion engineer who opened his eyes to the booming industry. Since then, he has had the opportunity to work on every new technology in the power industry spanning 50 years and as a consultant for the past 17 years. Additionally, Mr. Bozzuto has been an instructor at EUCI since 2005, as well as a judge for Carbon XPRIZE since 2016. A contributor of articles to professional journals, he holds 18 patents with some in air pollution control and advanced energy systems.

In his career, Mr. Bozzuto notably served Alstom Power, Incorporate Boiler Segment from 1970 until 2004. He had also worked for Kriesinger Development Laboratories as vice president of technology from 1994 to 2005 and director from 1988 to 1993. Between 1982 and 1988, he had also served as chief technologist, director of marketing and general manager of fluid bed systems at Alstom Power, Incorporate Boiler Segment. When he is not working, Mr. Bozzuto enjoys fishing, war games, model airplanes and listening to music.

Matriculating at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mr. Bozzuto attained a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in 1970. Later, in 1984, he also earned a Master of Science in management from the Hartford Graduate Center. To remain abreast of his industry, Mr. Bozzuto maintains affiliation with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Institute Chemical Engineers and Combustion Institute, along with the Council of Industrial Boiler Owners as an honorary member. He also serves as a board member to the Council of Industrial Boiler Owners, GE/Alston/ABB/CE and Retirees Club.
